Feeding the Homeless with Hilo Missionary Church

Every last Monday of the month, Hilo Missionary Church prepares food and delivers it to many homeless people across downtown Hilo. On 4/30/18, 12 of our brothers went and volunteered with them to assist in their preparation and deliveries.  They assisted the church by helping them cook and prepare a large quantity of chili. To cover more ground they divided up into teams of 4 and split up around the town.  All of the people they were able to reach out to were incredibly grateful for the food and some of the brothers received handmade grass hats as thanks. The brothers described it as an eye opening experience as to how much a small effort can go such a long way for another and all look forward to future opportunities to reach out again.
