Brother of the Year

BrotheroftheYear2015-2016

AJ has consistently demonstrated leadership in all of his actions, especially throughout his tenure as an UHHSA DKICP Senator and Vice President. His leadership style is much more behind-the-scenes because the organization he represents focuses on all of the students at UHH. He attended and organized meetings weekly, encouraged the student body to participate and voice their concern, and fought to bring attention to the DKICP, all while still maintaining his responsibilities as a pharmacy student. He never complained, and has had unwavering passion throughout these past two years. When many students on campus realize the impact of his leadership and all of the work he has done to bring awareness and financial support to the DKICP, it inspires us all.

Some of the support AJ has brought to the college include our hydration station, over $2000 in screening supplies for Phi Delta Chi’s Miloli‘i health fair, over $500 in prizes for the Blue Zones initiative, over $1000 for organization materials in the ALOHA Project, $2500 for Phi Lambda Sigma’s business etiquette dinner and strengths finders workshop, and potentially $7500 to help subsidize RxPrep for the Class of 2017. His efforts span across all important aspects of the college: academic success, community service, and influencing students to want to become leaders in the profession. He embodies brotherhood in his actions not only for our chapter, but for the entire student body.
